Coffee Cafe Spinner Card--Global Design Project #090

If you know me, you know my favorite items in the new Stampin' Up catalog are in the Coffee Break Suite --click the link to check them out.  As soon as I saw the sketch for the Global Design Project #090, I knew I wanted to make a Coffee Cafe Spinner Card.  I remembered seeing a video on YouTube from Wendy Cranford in the past, and searching "Wendy Cranford Spinner Card" brought up her tutorial she featured during Halloween.  I encourage you to check it out and make a spinner card for yourself! Here are some photos of my process.  If you'd like to purchase the product to create these spinner cards for yourself, check out my online store .  If you are local and would like to schedule a class, contact me and let's set up a crafty adventure for you and your family or friends! First use the framelits to cut the adorable coffee cups out of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. Then prep the die cuts by adding a lot of sticky adhesive to the back of the cups.

Magical Mermaid

I had a birthday card to make for a special friend, and I just loved the sentiment "Have a Magical Birthday."  In fact, I've got more ideas for that sentiment later--you'll have to keep following my blog to see them!  I also wanted to feature the new Stampin' Up In-Colors for 2017-2019, so I decided to stamp the mermaid onto watercolor paper and then use the inks and aqua painter to create an ombre effect on her hair and tail.  I added Wink of Stella to her tail to make it shimmer--oh how I wish you could see it in person! Here are the colors I used:  On the first version, I featured the colors Powder Pink, Berry Burst, and Fresh Fig.  I had an ink boo-boo, so used some sequins to it cover up.  I just love the way the Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide blend in this version.  I also added the color Island Indigo to balance out the green-blue color scheme (plus, she's a mermaid, so using Island Indigo wass required). If you are local and would like to

Graduation Cards & End of Year Teacher Gifts

It's never easy saying goodbye to my students at the end of the school year.  And, as a teacher there is always more to do no matter how much you plan in advance to cross things off your to-do list.  But, I love to take the time to make handmade cards for all of my graduating Seniors, Teacher's Assistants, and my boys' teachers.  Here's a collage of the end-of-the year projects I've made. Although some of the Stampin' Up product in the photos is retired, there are a lot of awesome goodies in the new catalog.  If you'd like me to mail you a new catalog, send me an email.  Or you can view the catalog and shop with me online 24/7! As we transition to summer, I will be working hard to update my blog on a regular basis.  I hope you'll check back with me and explore your creativity this summer!
