It's Hot! Let's Pretend it's FALL!

It is SO HOT!  The forecast here in Northern California is 109-111 today and tomorrow!  YIKES!  The news is reporting right now that the power grid is overtaxed and to expect power issues.  OH NO!  My suggestion for all of you that can't handle this heat, is to just pretend that it is fall.  :)  Yes, I think Starbucks is announcing their release of Fall 2017 arrival date of Pumpkin Spice Lattes today, but more importantly, I am excited to share the Fall and Winter Stampin' Up Catalog with you!  I can't wait to share some projects that focus on the beauty of fall and the coolness of winter.  Here's a preview of some projects I'm excited to work on first.  Can you see why?

Need a catalog?  Let me know and I will get one to you!  Or, check out the pdf online.  It is filled with a range of creative styles for projects for Fall, Halloween, Winter and Christmas.

I am so excited to share my upcoming projects with you!  Hope to see my local friends at my launch party on September 9th.  There is also an exciting hostess offer that starts today and goes through October 31st, so if you like FREE PRODUCT, contact me to set up a card class at your house!

Lastly, I am working on achieving a goal with Stampin' Up!  I am excited to be a part of this fun company and our awesome team!  If you are placing an online order with me in September, please make sure you select me as your demonstrator and use the HOSTESS CODE:  EVCVMX26.  This helps me earn FREE PRODUCT!  Any customers placing an online order using the hostess code in September will receive a FREE CARD KIT from me!  Thank you for supporting me in this creative journey!

Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP082--More Disney Freak!

I love using a sketch to get my creative juices flowing.  Using pattern papers and cardstock is like a painter using a palette.  A good sketch can be an inspiration to seeing a new combination that you otherwise wouldn't have thought of.  This is my first time participating in the Global Design Project. This week the sketch challenge is #GDP082--I had just finished my Disney Freak scrapbook layout when I saw the sketch and knew I wanted to make a Disney themed card. Adventure definitely awaits if you are planning a Disney trip.  I am a high school teacher, and this will be our second year of taking our Seniors to Disneyland Grad Night--it's a long bus ride, and staying up all night can be a challenge when you've left your teen years long ago, but it is a super fun trip and the memories are worth the exhaustion!  I will be using this card as a template to share with the rest of the staff on the upcoming trip! Here are some supplies you'll need if you'd like ...

If you know me, you know my favorite items in the new Stampin' Up catalog are in the Coffee Break Suite --click the link to check them out.  As soon as I saw the sketch for the Global Design Project #090, I knew I wanted to make a Coffee Cafe Spinner Card.  I remembered seeing a video on YouTube from Wendy Cranford in the past, and searching "Wendy Cranford Spinner Card" brought up her tutorial she featured during Halloween.  I encourage you to check it out and make a spinner card for yourself! Here are some photos of my process.  If you'd like to purchase the product to create these spinner cards for yourself, check out my online store .  If you are local and would like to schedule a class, contact me and let's set up a crafty adventure for you and your family or friends! First use the framelits to cut the adorable coffee cups out of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. Then prep the die cuts by adding a lot of sticky adhesive to the back of the cups....
