Disney Freak!

I love all things Disney...movies, cartoons, Disneyland!  As a scrapbooker, sometimes I just like to create layouts when I feel inspired, even without pictures.  I always know I'll be able to use Disney layouts sometime in the future!  I recently drove by Disneyland on the way home from San Diego, and along with the announcement that an upcoming 2018 Stampin' Up event will be in Orlando, I've definitely got Disney on my mind!  Add to that, I'm somewhat of a crafty hoarder...well, isn't that how "scrap" booking started?  When I had a pile of these leftover cut-outs of silver glimmer paper, I just could not even think about throwing them away!!  I instantly saw them as panels on a layout, and with Disney on my mind, I had to make a Disney layout!  SO CUTE!  I can't wait to fill this layout up with photos!

I even added a Hidden Mickey there at the bottom!  Well, it looks more like a water molecule, but if you know anything about me, you know that's appropriate as well (I am a Chemistry teacher).  :)  I can't believe how much stamping I was able to squeeze in on these layouts!  Here's a list of products I used!

  • Suite Sayings stamp set (title)
  • Thoughtful Banners stamp set (photo tags)
  • Tin of Cards stamp set (heart & star)
  • Perfectly Wrapped stamp set (sentiment & Hidden Mickey head)
  • Ready to Pop stamp set (Hidden Mickey ears)
  • Real Red 12x12 cardstock & ink
  • Brights Designer Series Paper Stack
  • Silver Glimmer Paper
  • Memento Ink
  • Bow Builder Punch
  • Fast Fuse, Dimensionals & Glue Dots Adhesive
I hope you feel inspired to make a layout with or without pictures and to use those beautiful scraps! If you'd like any of the products listed, check out my online store!  Be sure to sign in or create an account and list me as your Demonstrator.
And, if Disney is on your mind too, you should consider joining my team and making a plan to get to Orlando in 2018!

Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP082--More Disney Freak!

I love using a sketch to get my creative juices flowing.  Using pattern papers and cardstock is like a painter using a palette.  A good sketch can be an inspiration to seeing a new combination that you otherwise wouldn't have thought of.  This is my first time participating in the Global Design Project. This week the sketch challenge is #GDP082--I had just finished my Disney Freak scrapbook layout when I saw the sketch and knew I wanted to make a Disney themed card. Adventure definitely awaits if you are planning a Disney trip.  I am a high school teacher, and this will be our second year of taking our Seniors to Disneyland Grad Night--it's a long bus ride, and staying up all night can be a challenge when you've left your teen years long ago, but it is a super fun trip and the memories are worth the exhaustion!  I will be using this card as a template to share with the rest of the staff on the upcoming trip! Here are some supplies you'll need if you'd like to m

Graduation Cards & End of Year Teacher Gifts

It's never easy saying goodbye to my students at the end of the school year.  And, as a teacher there is always more to do no matter how much you plan in advance to cross things off your to-do list.  But, I love to take the time to make handmade cards for all of my graduating Seniors, Teacher's Assistants, and my boys' teachers.  Here's a collage of the end-of-the year projects I've made. Although some of the Stampin' Up product in the photos is retired, there are a lot of awesome goodies in the new catalog.  If you'd like me to mail you a new catalog, send me an email.  Or you can view the catalog and shop with me online 24/7! As we transition to summer, I will be working hard to update my blog on a regular basis.  I hope you'll check back with me and explore your creativity this summer!
