Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP082--More Disney Freak!

I love using a sketch to get my creative juices flowing.  Using pattern papers and cardstock is like a painter using a palette.  A good sketch can be an inspiration to seeing a new combination that you otherwise wouldn't have thought of.  This is my first time participating in the Global Design Project. This week the sketch challenge is #GDP082--I had just finished my Disney Freak scrapbook layout when I saw the sketch and knew I wanted to make a Disney themed card. Adventure definitely awaits if you are planning a Disney trip.  I am a high school teacher, and this will be our second year of taking our Seniors to Disneyland Grad Night--it's a long bus ride, and staying up all night can be a challenge when you've left your teen years long ago, but it is a super fun trip and the memories are worth the exhaustion!  I will be using this card as a template to share with the rest of the staff on the upcoming trip! Here are some supplies you'll need if you'd like to m

Suite Sentiments OnStage Swap

I recently returned from Stampin' Up's OnStage Event in San Diego.  One of the fun parts was participating in Swaps.  I made 25 cards and then traded with other Demonstrators for their creations.  Now, I have a collection of designs and products to inspire me!  If you haven't participated in a swap yet, I encourage you to do it!  Here are the items I used in my design: Suite Sentiments Stamp Set Black Memento Ink Pad Silver Glimmer Paper Bitty Butterfly Punch 1/8" Silver Ribbon Rhinestone Basic Jewels Whisper White Cardstock Basic Black Cardstock Tempting Turquoise Cardstock Tempting Turquoise Ink Pad Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper Fast Fuse Dimensionals Stitched Framelits Big Shot To purchase Stampin' Up product, follow the link: Kristy's Stampin' Up Store Or, to participate in an upcoming Swap, consider joining my team!  Message me for details! Graduation Cards & End of Year Teacher Gifts

It's never easy saying goodbye to my students at the end of the school year.  And, as a teacher there is always more to do no matter how much you plan in advance to cross things off your to-do list.  But, I love to take the time to make handmade cards for all of my graduating Seniors, Teacher's Assistants, and my boys' teachers.  Here's a collage of the end-of-the year projects I've made. Although some of the Stampin' Up product in the photos is retired, there are a lot of awesome goodies in the new catalog.  If you'd like me to mail you a new catalog, send me an email.  Or you can view the catalog and shop with me online 24/7! As we transition to summer, I will be working hard to update my blog on a regular basis.  I hope you'll check back with me and explore your creativity this summer!
